This recipe came about, like so many others, when I was running out of supplies in the kitchen, and these were the ingredients I had to work with. . .lol!
I would normally use Old-fashioned Rolled Oats, but this Quaker multigrain cereal pictured above was all I had. I am so glad!! The combination is great!! I loved the crunch of the Flaxseed and the different textures this mix had to offer! Will definitely be using this, or making my own version to use, again!
Ingredients
1/2 C Almond Butter
1/2 C Maple Syrup
1/4 C Brown Rice Syrup
2 C Toasted Grain Mix, toast in a 350ºF oven for 10-15 minutes
1 C Raisins
1/2 C Dates, Processed in Food Processor into Paste
Cinnamon to taste

Directions
Heat Almond Butter and Syrups in stock pot over low/medium heat and bring to a low simmer
Let it simmer until it becomes shiny, gooey and thick and rolls off of the sides of the pot when stirred
Add the date paste and stir until it's well incorporated

Add the rest of the ingredients and incorporate well

Put Parchment Paper in a square or rectangular pan and spread mixture on pan evenly
Let it cool in the refrigerator fo a couple of hours to let it set
Once set, slice into bars, whatever size you like

These bars are very hearty and filling, so keep that in mind while making the bars.
