Weekly Grocery Savings Jan 30 - Feb 5

Updated: Jan 31, 2019

Smart shopping is key!! You can really save with planning, even without coupons.

Aldi

That's right! Aldi's got 39¢ avocados AGAIN!! We're going avocado crazy over at the Macon Vegans kitchen. We're putting in wraps and salads, and making guacamole, sauces and smoothies. Avocado toast anyone? Oh, and those blueberries are no joke.

This week's sale on pineapples is great! Instead of making something sweet with them, how about tossing them into a stirfry? Or a green smoothie. Mmmm mmmm mmmm!!

Dollar General Market

At 50¢ per pound, I'm definitely making tomato salad, salsa, and marinara sauce. I know it's early, but I just love tomatoes and you can't beat the price!

You have got to love this deal too. Spend $25 and you'll get $5 off with the coupon!

Food Depot

I am definitely going to load up on that winter squash! Before you know it, winter will be over and they won't be at their peak any more. And I see Green Cabbage and Granny Smith Apples at a great price. I have been wanting to try a new recipe, cabbage and apple soup. Now may be the time!

Fresh Market

Organic bagged nuts are 25% off! Nuts cost the same pretty much everywhere - they are expensive everywhere! Especially organic. 25% off is a good deal.

Save A Lot

39¢ avocados too!! And a 4lb bag of oranges for just $1.99! Get your vitamin C!

Shopper's Value

Cilantro is only 2 bunches for $1! You just can't imagine how much cilantro I go through in a week. I am so excited!! And how about that 10lb of russet potatoes for only $2.79!!! I'm getting creative with my potatoes this week! Not just mashed potatoes and french fries for this vegan. No, sir. There will be bakes, savory AND sweet!

And that'll conclude my favorite picks of all the local grocery store chain sales. Like and leave a comment below. I'd love to hear about what you made with your favorite sale items!
