Great deal on green beans and potatoes. Try making some of Macon Vegans Irish Style Baked Potatoes this week. Or try a vegan shepherd's pie. My kids absolutely love shepherd's pie! I'm working on getting the recipe together and published, so be on the lookout!

Good sale on pecans, almonds and pistachios this week at Aldi. I love using walnuts in my smoothies, almonds in my granola bars (recipe for my favorite granola bars will be published later this week!), and my pecans candied!

Dollar General Market

I'm making fresh pineapple juice with some of those $1 pineapples!! All I have to do is put the chunks in the high speed blender and serve!

They've still got corn on sale at 3/$1!! Grilled, Roasted, Steamed, Creamed, any way you want to serve it, you can't go wrong with corn. Try out Macon Vegans' cornbread recipe with your creamed corn!

Food Depot

Good sale on red potatoes this week. I like them roasted!. Food Depot usually has a good price for turnips. Try our roasted turnips and red potatoes recipe this week.

Fresh Market

Got to admit I was left a little wanting for this week's sales at Fresh Market. Hopefully next week will be better for our budgets.

Kroger

You can find the best sale on yellow and zucchini squash at Kroger this week. Try making these wraps!

Piggly Wiggly

You can find the best sale on cabbage this week at Piggly Wiggly! Try making our roasted cabbage with green instead of red cabbage.

Publix

Don't usually point out point out pre-packaged items, but the BOGO deal on the Bare Chips, Apple, Coconut, and Banana is admittedly a good one. If you're going to do a prepackaged food, dehydrated fruits are not a bad choice!

Save A Lot

Wow indeed! Best sale on Blueberries this week is at Save A Lot! Try making Macon Vegans blueberry granola bars for your kids (or yourself) this week.

They've got a good sale on cantaloupes this week too. Have I mentioned that my kids love fresh "aqua de melon" (melon water)? Really, I just put some cubed cantaloupe in my high speed blender with some dates (the number depends on how sweet I want it) and then add distilled water. That's it. It's so good and refreshing when it's cold!!

Shopper's Value Foods

Not too many sales on grapes this week, except for Shopper's Value Foods. Might be worth the trip just for the sale on grapes. And check out their sale on yellow onions! At only 49¢/lb I'm making the trip to load up on onions. Even though it's warming up outside, I think I'm in the mood to make some onion soup!
